Have you ever sit down for a while and wondered that why you do what you do? What’s your why? Life seems to be so mundane, boring and monotonous sometimes. The same people, same routine, same work place and blah blah, everyday.

We often wake up with those same ugly faces and start screaming deep down within ourselves why my life is so messed up? It happens with many of us during some point in our lives. We don’t even feel like waking up or getting excited about our day, unless there is something special coming up.

It happens with me all the time. I ask myself why am I so lazy and feel like doing nothing at all, just sitting like a couch potato, drinking cola, eating chips, watching netflix(what a life!)?  Is there something wrong with it? Well, if my mother sees me like that, then there is definitely something very very wrong( ask an Indian child).

There is nothing wrong in giving yourself a break sometimes. We all need one right? A lot of stuff happens with us everyday, some days are quite good and some goes off kinda rough. We do need some time to recharge ourselves and to prepare ourselves for the coming situations in a fresh way.

But, wait a second. There is a problem. Some people likes break so much that they make a friendship with them and guess what! After some time they become best friends. I like to call them the BREAK FREAKS.(is this the name of my blog?) What rubbish is this? Stay guys this girl got a point to make.

What I am trying to say here is that just don’t get carried away with your feelings( like I need a break again and again). We often start giving excuses to escape from our current situations, just because we are too afraid to tackle them, or we are too scared about the consequences. Just ask yourself for how long can you ignore a problem?

Deep down you do know that you have to face it one day. You do know that you have to go an extra mile to get that promotion, study for hours to crack that exam, focus to find the solution of the problem you are dealing with. So, how would you be able to achieve all that? It’s very obvious you need to put some efforts and work your ass off. The real question is Why would you do that? Most of us forget to ask this question.

Why would you work like a dog for something that is not so necessary or valuable to you?

Why would you put your whole mind and body into something that you think is worthless?

Why would you go an extra mile for something meaningless to you?

These are the questions we must ask. There has to be a why if you are really willing to fulfill the things you think about. Your why will guide you in order to accomplish those goals.

It’s very important for us to understand how a human brain works. It needs the fuel in order to generate the energy that will help you to reach to the places you desire for. One of the most powerful fuel is asking yourself Why am I doing this? How its gonna affect my life and others too? And then start searching for the answers.

When you find your why, you find a way to make it happen

– Thomas Eric

Take out some time to think about how you work and what are the daily habits or routines that you enjoyed in the past and also what are the skills that you’ve accumulated so far. Many times we take our habits so lightly without even realising that it plays a very important role in shaping who we are and what we’ll become in the coming time.

All of us are born for a reason, but all of us don’t discover why. Success in life has nothing to do with what you gain in life or accomplish for yourself. It’s what you do for others.

-Danny Thomas

Find out the why behind what you do and then the how to do it. If you know that what you are doing is worth your time and is really meaningful to you and others, you won’t need any motivation to keep going.
