SMILE

A little smile, a brittle smile
Why people often give this fake smile?
The smile on your face meeting that old friend,
feeling wild with excitement, fighting for the messages they didn’t send.
The victory smile when you get that job,
filled with pride, now there’s no need to rob.

A little smile, a brittle smile
Why can’t I stop staring at your ravishing smile?
That sleepy smile when you wake up to sunrise
Get back to work, because you don’t have a choice
The surrender smile when you’re broken from inside,
Life is all messed up, I am fine, that’s what I replied

A little smile, a brittle smile
I wanna see that lost smile.
The silly smile when I look in the mirror,
I am such a strange creature, feeling me with horror
The Sisyphean smile, when they try to cheer you up,
But it fades like a morning dew, need someone to pick me up.
A little smile, a brittle smile
When will I find that perfect smile?
